In Salobreña there are diverse festivities as the year goes on, and each one is celebrated in a different way. We must distinguish the local festivities, the regional festivities and the national festivities. Each one is enchanting in their own way, and in each one you´ll enjoy the ambiance of this coastal andalusian locality, especially Easter week.
National holidays in Salobreña start on January 1st, New Years Day. After that comes the 6th of January, Three Kings Day (epiphany)and from there we move on to Easter week that is celebrated in March or April, being holidays thursday and friday.
We must also mention the 1st of May which is international labor day. From there we move onto the 15th of August, the day of Asunción de la Virgen.
In October we must mention the 12th, which is Hispanic Day (also Columbus day) as well as the day of the Virgen del Pilar. On the 1st of November is All Saint´s day where we remember the people that have passed. December 6th and 8th are Spanish Constitution Day and the day of Inmaculada. And last but not least, the 25th which is Christmas day.
The regional festivities are reduced to the 28th of February, Day of Andalucía, and the local festivities are the 25th of June, the day of Saint John Baptist, and the 8th of October is the day of Our lady of Rosario.
