Salobreña is a small municipality located in the granadina coast, in the Costa Tropical. Halfway between Motril and Almuñecar, Salobrena has a population of 12,000 and tourism is the main ingredient to it's growing economy.

Salobrena is a municipality that has 4 nucleus'of towns; Lobres, La Caleta, La Guardia, and Salobreña. The main nucleus is Salobreña and it is found on a Rock in which a muslim origin castle presides.

The mediterrenean climate, it's beaches, it's enchantment have made tourism grow in this area, and as a result making tourism one of the big motors that move this town forward. It all started in the decade of the 70's, and has kept growing since.

Salobreña is a locality who's urban nucleus is found enclaved on this Rock that one day had been an isthmus, a rock in which we find the muslim castle, one of the main cultural references of this municipality, surrounded by many places to visit, see and do.
