Salobreña is a locality surrounded by green, by nature, by the Sierra de Bodijar which is found in between virgin valleys and where tropical fruits like the custard apples, avocados, mangos, are cultivated. In these places we´ll find routes though with you can walk in the manner of an agritourism. This route, the most popular in Salobreña, begins in the sugarcane factory, the only one still running in all of the Costa Tropical. From there we´ll travel to the untouched valleys, where we´ll find sugar cane plantations, and we´ll pass through the Parque de la Fuente, surrounded by arboles, and tropical fruits like bananas and custard apple plantations.
Don´t miss the monument dediated to the sugarcane, a bronze statue that represents hard work and the beauty of it. Continuing around our thick forest of sugar cane we´ll lift our eyes to appreciate the Castillo de Salobreña, that stands up on the rock, on the other side the whiteness of Mulhacen, del Veleta and Sierra Nevada.
Another route is the one that takes us through its sugar cane forests and tropical fruits towards the sea, towards the Mediterrenean. |
